LTE-D Series Extruder is a kind of equipment which can make micro cylindrical stick through research and development on the basis of the absorption of similar foreign equipment, whose main characteristics are: production time is short; the rate of finished products is high. And its screw is many-headed spiral twin-leveraged, extrusion is uniform, balanced, high yield, a machine can supply the material for several spherical pellets granulator simultaneously.
Wet particles made by wet mixed granulator in last working procedure enter into the extrusion device, and pass through the mesh plate being extruded into cylindrical stick. The diameter size of cylindrical stick is controlled through the aperture of mesh (the aperture of extrusion plate can be chosen from 0.5 to 2.5mm).
Whether made-up circular stick can be made into qualified pellets in the process of cut, round of next working procedure, is related with the parameters such as humidity of granules, viscosity of material, and mobility, as well as the proportion of added supplementary materials (microcrystalline cellulose, lactose, etc.), and the variety of bond or thinner, etc.
When the stick drops from the mesh plate after being extruded, it is able to be cut into about 50mm length naturally, which explains that the chosen parameters are matched well, and can be made into pellets with high-level sphericity.
For some larger viscosity of drugs, such as dry extract of medicine, should look for suitable supplementary materials, and antitackiness agent to avoid causing increased friction caused the rise of temperature as the result of the large viscosity of the material, thus to make the material dry, and affect the effect of stick.
LTE-D Series Extruder is composed of extrusion device, feeder, gearing, gear box, cabinet body, control screen, gearing, electric control device, etc.
Its working principle is: plunge the wet granular materials made by wet mixed granulator into the feeder’s hopper of extruder by manual work or feeding machine, the many-headed double-helix screw does the relative rotational movement, the wet granular materials evenly with the spiral direction from the feeding end to be extruded continuously and pushed advance to the radial end of the extrusion device, and it is blocked at the mesh plate, thus to cause the inboard pressure of mesh plate to rise, and form the extrusion pressure toward the lateral of mesh plate, material is extruded evenly and close through the pore, and finally micro cylindrical stick forms. Then spherical pellets will be made in the next procedure.
